Anna Avino, known to all as Mamma, is the chef at Restaurant Amalfi in Roswell, GA, one of the best if not the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to. Her meatballs and chicken parmigiana are to die for. She is also a sweet woman who once came to the assistance of a friend who ran into a medical problem at the restaurant. I painted this to thank her.
